Mesquite jewelry store robbed; owner arrested (WFAA Dallas-Fort Worth)

MESQUITE — The owner of a jewelry store at Town East Mall was jailed Friday after he opened fire on a fleeing theft suspect. Police said Luis Fuentes was showing a $10,000 diamond ring to a customer at Classique when the man grabbed the ring and fled.
